Space is limited!

We will be selecting 125+ pre-2000 water-cooled show cars in addition to our top 16 (8 water-cooled / 8 air-cooled) to compete for Best of Roots Classic 5.

Top 16 (8 water-cooled / 8 air-cooled) to compete for Best of Roots Classic 5.

Acceptable pre-2K submissions

MK1, MK2, MK3, Scirocco, Corrado, Passat, Audi (all) — all pre-2000 water-cooled.

Air-cooled (8 slots) and MK3.5 Cabriolet are eligible for Roots Classic 5 indoor.

Specialty awards.

Please take your time with your submission. We are accepting builds of all levels — daily drivers, show cars, rats, beaters, and everything in between.

We also welcome cars with passionate stories behind them. That is what Roots Classic is about: cars and owners of all levels who represent the passion behind these machines and the community.

Tell us everything — the history, how you found it, the build process, everything.

If your build is not complete, please wait for a later round to submit. Incomplete builds will be denied.
If we think your car would display better outdoors, you may be offered an outdoor spot.
Payment is required within 24 hours after approval or you will forfeit your spot to the waitlist.
Only submit your car if you are 100% positive you will attend the Roots Classic 5 weekend in Wildwood (September 11–13). Space is very limited; it is hard to fill a spot at the last minute.
We reserve the right to deny any submission for any reason.
